Clifton Pereira has worked in various engineering roles since 2005. In 2005, they were an Aircraft Engineer (Summer Intern) at Airworks Service Ltd. (Rochester Airfield). From 2006-2007, they were a V.P. Member Relations & Volunteer at Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and a NSERC Undergraduate Research Engineer at Dr. Henri M.J. Saari's Materials Lab, Carleton University. From 2008-2009, they were a NSERC Undergraduate Research Engineer at Energy and Emissions Laboratory - Carleton University and a PLC Automation Laboratory Instructor at Carleton University. From 2013-2015, they were a Manufacturing & Product Design Engineer at AyA Kitchens and Baths Ltd. and from 2015-present, they are a Chief Product Officer and Lead Mechanical Engineer at AXIS Labs.
Clifton Pereira's education history began at Humber College, where they earned a Mechanical Engineering Technology degree from 2003 to 2005. Clifton then continued their studies at Carleton University, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from 2005 to 2009, and a Master's of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from 2009 to 2012. In 2017 and 2018, they completed two Udacity programs, earning a Self-Driving Car Engineer degree and a Robotics Software Engineer degree in the fields of Autonomous Vehicle Engineering and Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, respectively.
