Erik Means

Erik Means has extensive experience in the energy industry, with a strong focus on oil and gas. Erik currently serves as the Head of Analytics and Executive Editor at Rystad Energy, where they provide consulting services, business intelligence data, and strategic analysis for energy companies and related entities. Prior to this, Erik worked as the Editor-in-chief at Upstream, the International Oil & Gas Newspaper, where they led the publication in providing accurate, exclusive, and independent news coverage of the global oil and gas industry. Erik also served as the Editor-in-chief at Upstream Technology, a bimonthly magazine and website focused on the latest technologies and developments in the oil and gas sector. Erik's experience also includes being the Editor-in-chief at LNG Unlimited, a newsletter and website covering the global LNG sector, and working as a Journalist at TradeWinds, the world's leading shipping journal. Erik began their career as a News Editor at Noroil Publishing House, where they contributed to various publications covering the oil and gas industry, particularly in the North Sea region.

Erik Means earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics from Western University in 1985. In 2001, they attended the London Business School for an Advanced Development Programme in Management.
