Thomas Drueke has over five years of professional experience. Thomas began their career in 2014 at the University of Chicago Law School as a Scholarship and Data Librarian, where they designed, implemented, maintained, and refactored a SQL Server database system and Python app/script stack for storing, processing, and disseminating bibliographic data for use in Law School and Library business processes, including websites and institutional repository. Thomas also developed, tested, and maintained a pipeline to query the database and generate, sort, and display citations on the web, as well as wrote and tested programs to extract and clean data from unstructured sources for use in empirical research. In 2019, they joined Ryvit as a Customer Success Engineer/Integration Specialist.
Thomas Drueke has a long and varied educational history. Thomas obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Theirtory & Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006. Thomas then obtained a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 2009. In 2011, they obtained a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, School of Information Sciences. In 2019, they obtained a variety of certifications, including Machine Learning with Python from Coursera, Optimizing Postgres Databases from Dataquest.io, Data Analysis with Python from Coursera, Databases and SQL for Data Science from Coursera, and Postgres for Data Engineers from Dataquest.io.
