Vinay Dhir has extensive work experience in the field of gastroenterology. Vinay is currently serving as the Associate Editor of the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy journal since 2023. Prior to this, they founded IDLCare in 2019 and held the position of Chairman and Founder. Vinay also held the role of Head of the Department of Gastroenterology at S. L. Raheja Hospital - A Fortis Associate and Asian Cancer Institute in 2018. Additionally, Vinay served as the Director of the Baldota Institute of Digestive Sciences, Global Hospitals in Mumbai from 2015 to 2018. Vinay has also held various leadership positions at institutions such as the Asian Institute of Oncology, Institute of Advanced Endoscopy, Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, and Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre. Vinay Dhir pursued their MD in Internal Medicine from MGM Medical college in Indore, which they completed from 1984 to 1987. Later in 1991 to 1993, they obtained a DNB in Gastroenterology from Tata Memorial Hospital. In 1994 to 1995, Vinay Dhir pursued a fellowship in Thapeutic ERCP at the European Gastro Surgical School in Amsterdam. In 1999, they received training in endosonography at the Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam.
