KC Choi has substantial experience in strategic communications and public affairs. Starting in 2001, Choi worked as a Public Affairs Officer for the US Navy, where they provided media intelligence and managed communications for the command in the Middle East. From 2007 to 2011, they worked at Cheil Worldwide, providing strategic communication and community relations for Samsung, including sponsorship of professional sports teams and events. In 2013, Choi joined Citi as Program Director for the Citi Salutes initiative, focusing on employment, financial capability, and entrepreneurship. They were also a Public Affairs Officer for the US Navy Reserve from 2011 to 2013. Choi went on to work for Samsung Electronics America in 2016, leading the Veterans Empowerment Program. From 2017 to 2018, Choi was a Program Administrator for Westchester County Veteran Services, supporting veterans and their families. In 2018, they became Deputy Director Public Affairs at United States Africa Command, handling media relations on international affairs. More recently, Choi worked as a Strategic Communications Consultant at S2 Analytical Solutions, LLC. Throughout their career, Choi developed crisis communication strategies, managed executive-level communications, gained experience in program management, and built relationships with various stakeholders.
KC Choi received their high school education from Iona Prep from 1987 to 1991. KC then pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from SUNY Geneseo from 1991 to 1995. Later, they completed their Master of Business Administration in Marketing from The George Washington University School of Business in 2000.
