Kevin Smedley has over 30 years of experience working in various roles within the aerospace industry. Kevin has served as an Executive Strategy Adviser to NGA Geospatial Services Director at S2 Analytical Solutions, Sr. Space Systems Engineer at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Sr. Systems Engineer at AMERICAN SYSTEMS, and as a member of the Joint Robotics and Unmanned Systems Team at the Department of Defense. Smedley has also held senior positions at SRA International, including serving as Sr. Strategic Aerospace Marketing Consultant, where they worked on UAS strategic planning, authored sections of the 2007 UAS Roadmap, and provided recommendations to the White House Office of Science and Technology on integrating UAS into the National Airspace System. Kevin was also President and Principal of Kinetic Enterprise Systems Inc. and Senior Program Manager at Atlantic Research Corp., where they were responsible for managing programs. Smedley is a Management Council Representative and President at the UAV National Industry Team Alliance (UNITE), which focuses on addressing technology, regulations, and policy issues that would allow unmanned aircraft to operate in the National Airspace System.
Kevin Smedley graduated from the New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering in 1976, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics.
