Mitch Worden

VP, Corporate Development, Clean Energy at S2G Ventures

Mitch Worden is the Vice President of Corporate Development for the Clean Energy fund at S2G Ventures. In this role, he is tasked with building high-impact relationships within the clean energy sector, supporting portfolio companies as they go-to-market, and working cross-functionally to support broader office efforts related to clean energy.

Prior to S2G Ventures, Mitch was the Commercial Sector Lead and Vice President of the Clean Energy & Infrastructure team at JLL, where he advised Fortune 500 clients on their decarbonization strategies and led the execution of these strategies. He has expertise in clean energy and infrastructure project finance, third-party and ownership deal structures and project management. He led the development of over 40 MW of distributed generation clean energy technologies. Additionally, he focused on business development to expand value-add sustainability service offerings for clients.

Previously, Mitch worked at Invenergy, an independent power producer and utility scale renewable energy developer, where he focused on project finance, tax equity buyouts, back leverage, refinancing, and project management and execution. Additionally, he led cross-functional teams via a project management role through financing to commercial operation.

He started his career at PwC in its Transaction Services group performing intangible asset valuation and M&A due diligence. He also identified and implemented financial and operational improvements.

Mitch completed his MBA from Northwestern University and has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Indiana University.
