Cathy Johnson

Cathy Johnson has over 15 years of experience in various consulting and leadership roles. Cathy worked as a Consultant in International Business Development at Independent from 2018 to present. Prior to that, they ran their own consulting firm, Cathy Johnson Consulting, from 2013 to present. From 2013 to 2018, they also held positions at Satellite Applications Catapult, where they served as the Lead for Theme of the Space Innovation & Growth Strategy ReStack, and as an Ambassador for US operations. Before that, they worked at the Science and Technology Facilities Council as the Head of Strategic Relations and Head of Centres Development, where they focused on driving growth and commercial exploitation in the UK space industry. Cathy's earlier experience includes working at the South East England Development Agency as the Head of European Inward Investment, where they successfully attracted foreign investment into the UK.

Cathy Johnson obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography and Subsidiary English from Bedford College, the University of London, from 1981 to 1984. Later, from 1992 to 1996, they received a Diploma in Town Planning from London South Bank University.
