Lishani Letchmiah has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Starting in 2008, they worked as an HR Administrator at LDM until 2009. In 2010, they joined Paton Personnel as an Internal Consultant for six months before moving to SA Taxi Finance, a subsidiary of Transaction Capital, where they served as a Talent Manager and Organisational Design and Development Consultant from 2010 to 2012. Lishani then became a Human Capital Manager at Transaction Capital from 2012 to 2013. Lishani returned to SA Taxi Finance in 2013 as a Talent and Performance Specialist. In 2015, they joined SA Taxi as a Senior Talent and Performance Manager, responsible for designing and implementing talent management and retention programs. From 2016 to 2018, they took on the role of Senior Manager Transformation and Director of the SA Taxi Foundation.
Lishani Letchmiah completed their education in a sequential manner. In 2005, they enrolled at the University of Cape Town, where they pursued a Bachelor of Social Science degree with a focus on Organizational Psychology and Industrial Sociology. Their studies continued there until 2008.
Later, in 2009, Lishani attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where they completed an Honors BSoc Sci degree in Industrial, Organizational, and Labour Studies.
In 2011, they furthered their education at the University of Stellenbosch Business School, undertaking the New Management Development Programme, which concentrated on Business Administration and Management.
Lastly, from 2014 to 2017, Lishani Letchmiah attended the University of Johannesburg to obtain a Master of Philosophy degree with a specialization in Leadership in Performance and Change Management.
