Senior Research Scientist - Lightweight Structures & AI/ML

Vivekendra Singh (Dr.) is an accomplished researcher and engineer with extensive expertise in material science and composites. Starting as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Force Motors Ltd in 2011, Vivekendra progressed through a Master's thesis at the German Aerospace Center focusing on wind energy systems and gained valuable experience as a Research Engineer at CNRS, specializing in geomechanical modeling. As a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Researcher at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Vivekendra developed advanced material models for energy absorption in automotive applications. Subsequent research as a Scientist at RISE SICOMP involved multiscale simulations of fiber-reinforced composites for the automotive and aerospace industries. Currently, Vivekendra serves as a Senior Research Scientist at Saab, working on lightweight composite structures and AI/ML techniques for advanced aerospace applications. Education includes foundational studies at Kendriya Vidyalaya, a Bachelor of Engineering from the Army Institute of Technology, and a PhD in Material Science from Chalmers University of Technology, along with a Master's in Computational Mechanics from Universität Duisburg-Essen.
