Jim Anthony

Jim Anthony is currently an advisor at SaaSMAX Corp. Jim has previously worked as the VP of Cybersecurity at Appgate from May 2017 to January 2020, and the VP, WW Systems Engineering, Cloud Solutions Group at CommVault from July 2014 to August 2015.

At CommVault, Jim was responsible for leadership and workload management of a 35 person, globally deployed technical team supporting sales teams of 50 individuals with quotas of $35 million in annual revenue. Jim also led solution definition efforts, pricing and operational reviews for large, complex customers, defined and managed processes to accurately assess customer product pricing and cost estimates and go to market strategies, and managed high-profile customer accounts with dedicated staff and project teams.

At Appgate, Jim continued their work in cybersecurity, providing executive leadership to Appgate's global Sales Engineering team with the primary objective of establishing relationships and footprints with all major cloud and managed hosting service providers. Jim and their team worked to deploy Appgate's solutions into provider platforms or to layer them on top of existing platforms, creating and justifying these solutions with intense business modeling and product development efforts. Jim also represented Appgate as a market leader in data protection capabilities at various trade shows, vendor conferences, and industry events.

Jim Anthony has a BS in Accounting and Information Systems from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Jim is certified from Appgate in Appgate SDP – Commander Certification, Forrester in Forrester Zero Trust Strategy, Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Security Specialty, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
