Akshay Ranjan

Akshay Ranjan has a diverse work experience in various industries. Akshay is currently working as an Associate Director - Growth at JioSaavn since 2023. Previously, they held roles at Pocket FM as Sr. Manager- Category Growth, Hindi Fiction from 2021 to 2023. Before that, they worked at ZEE5 Global as Lead- Product Partnerships & Growth(Subscription Revenue) and later as Manager- Product Partnerships and Growth(Subscription Revenue) from 2019 to 2021. Akshay also has experience working at RPG Group as a Group Management Resource(GMR) from 2017 to 2019 and at Zensar Technologies as an Associate Manager- Business Development from 2017 to 2019.

Before moving to the corporate world, Akshay had entrepreneurial experience as a Co Founder of The Aarohan Projekt and later as the Director, DOP, Storywriter, Editor, and Audio Engineer for The Aarohan Projekt-Season One Finale at Faculty of Management Studies - University of Delhi in 2016 and 2017.

Akshay began their career as a Summer Intern at Tata Digital Health in 2016 while also working as Manager Business Development at Work Advantage. Prior to that, they gained market research experience as a Market Research Intern at Tata Administrative Services in 2015. Akshay's early career started at State Bank of India, where they worked as an Assistant Manager from 2013 to 2015.

Akshay Ranjan completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management from the Faculty of Management Studies - University of Delhi in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from St. Xavier's College in 2012. Akshay also completed a Diploma in Audio Engineering from SAE Institute in 2011. Akshay's high school education was at Loyola School, Jamshedpur, where they studied Science from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, they earned a Sangeet Visharad (Bachelors of Hindustani Classical Music) from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya from 1995 to 2009. Akshay has also obtained several certifications, including Green Belt Lean Six Sigma from KPMG India in 2016, and certifications in Currency Derivatives, Equity Investment, Investment Banking, Marketing for Entrepreneurs, and Digital Marketing in 2015.
