Muhammad Ahmer

Muhammad Ahmer, CFA has a strong background in the finance industry with over 17 years of experience. Muhammad has held various leadership positions in reputable companies such as SAB Invest, Al Wasatah Al Maliah Co. (WASATAH CAPITAL), Riyad Capital, BMA Capital Management Ltd., National Investment Trust Limited, International Brands (PVT) LTD, and Pakistan State Oil.

At SAB Invest, Ahmer served as the VP Alternatives, where they were involved in all phases of the investment process and performed due diligence on investment opportunities. Muhammad also held the role of VP Buyside Research, where they conducted research and analysis to support investment decisions. Previously, as the Senior Fund Manager, they oversaw the management and performance of equity funds, implemented risk management strategies, and ensured compliance with portfolio objectives.

Prior to their time at SAB Invest, Ahmer was the Head of Asset Management at Al Wasatah Al Maliah Co. (WASATAH CAPITAL). In this role, they outperformed portfolio benchmarks and achieved top performance among their peers. Muhammad was responsible for fund management and ensuring the performance of equity funds.

At Riyad Capital, Ahmer started as an Investment Analyst and worked their way up to Senior Portfolio Manager. Muhammad built an extensive coverage of regional equities and provided in-depth fundamental research to shape investment decisions.

Muhammad also has experience working as a Senior Research Analyst at BMA Capital Management Ltd., where they delivered sell-side research and engaged with institutional investors to drive adoption of investment ideas. At National Investment Trust Limited, they served as an Investment Analyst, providing coverage on the oil & gas and engineering sectors.

Ahmer's career began at International Brands (PVT) LTD, where they served as a Financial Analyst and acted as a liaison between the company and Procter & Gamble Finance. Muhammad also worked at Pakistan State Oil as a Senior Officer, where they conducted internal audits and managed the Card Finance department during a period of rapid retail expansion.

Throughout their career, Ahmer has demonstrated strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of the investment process, and the ability to deliver strong financial performance.

Muhammad Ahmer, CFA completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration from 2002 to 2004. Muhammad also holds additional certifications including "Elements of AI" from the University of Helsinki and Reaktor obtained in February 2019, and "Motivating and Engaging Employees" from LinkedIn obtained in January 2019. Moreover, they achieved the "10-Year Milestone" certification from CFA Institute. Muhammad is also a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certified by the CFA Institute.
