Lumko Jimlongo

Lumko Jimlongo is an experienced media professional currently serving as an Editor for SABC News Channel (Dstv 404) since October 2017, responsible for conceptualising on-air imaging and managing news production activities. In addition to this role, Lumko is the Executive Producer for Morning Live, leading the editorial and technical team in producing the programme while liaising with various stakeholders. Prior to the current positions, Lumko held roles including Assignment Editor at the National News Desk and Specialist Television News Journalist at SABC News from January 2013 to September 2017, along with earlier experience as a Broadcast Journalist and Current Affairs Producer at SABC from April 2005 to November 2013. Lumko holds a National Diploma in Journalism from Walter Sisulu University of Technology, completed in 2005.
