Segun Adebayo

Segun Adebayo has a strong background in DevOps engineering and system administration. Segun is currently working as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Sabi, where they are responsible for provisioning various services using Terraform modules. Prior to this, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at Sabi, where they securely provisioned and maintained an AWS EKS cluster and migrated services from ECS to EKS using GitOps with ArgoCD. Segun also successfully provisioned the Otobo ticketing system and designed a highly available Kafka cluster on Kubernetes. Before working at Sabi, Segun had freelance experience as a DevOps Engineer, where they automated tasks using Dockerfile and GitHub actions/Jenkinsfile. Segun also deployed containerized applications to Kubernetes with best security practices. Segun's previous experience includes working as a System Administrator/Senior Tech Supervisor at Carbon Cleaning Nigeria, where they managed the company's backend administration, improved workflows, and utilized version control for source code management.

Segun Adebayo obtained a BSc. in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Ibadan, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications in various fields, including GitOps, API design, DevOps, Git, Kubernetes, Ansible, Bash scripting, Docker, and cybersecurity. These certifications were obtained between 2021 and 2022 from institutions such as Codefresh, API Academy, The Linux Foundation, Simplilearn, LinkedIn, World Education Services, TryHackMe, and Cisco.
