Craig Pearce has a wealth of experience in the medical field. Craig began their career in 2002 as Chief Resident Anesthesia for Alberta Health Services. In 2003, they joined the Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, Alberta Health Services, where they held the roles of Staff Anesthesiologist, Interim Clinical Department Head of Anesthesia in Calgary, Chief of the Division of Anesthesia at the Peter Lougheed Centre, Assistant Director of the Division of Anesthesia at the Peter Lougheed Centre, and member of the Alberta Health Services Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. In 2015, they became Medical Director for Face Forward Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Medical Advisor for Eureka 93 Inc. Craig also joined the University of Calgary as Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology. In 2017, they became Medical Advisor for Sunniva, and in 2019, they became Chief Medical Officer for MD Cannabis Clinic. In 2020, they began their role as President of the Section of Anesthesia for the Alberta Medical Association (AMA), and in 2021 they became Medical Director for SABI Mind.

Craig Pearce completed a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Calgary between 1987 and 1991. Craig then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neurophysiology & Pharmacology from the same university between 1991 and 1997. Following this, they completed a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Calgary between 1994 and 1998. Lastly, they completed an Anesthesiology Residency Program from the University of Calgary between 1998 and 2003.
