Carrie Bettinger CIH, CSP, serves as the Specialist Safety Programs AMR and Senior Engineer for Industrial Hygiene & Safety at SABIC since January 2016. With experience in a leading plastics manufacturing facility in Selkirk, NY, Carrie has contributed to maintaining the site’s VPP Star status over the past 30 years. Previously, Carrie held the position of Environmental, Health & Safety Leader at Owens Corning for a brief period in 2015, overseeing health and safety in an insulation manufacturing facility. Prior to this, Carrie worked as an EHS Project Manager at Emilcott from 2000 to 2015, providing environmental, health, and safety expertise across various industries, including pharmaceuticals and specialty chemicals. Carrie's career began at Upstate Laboratories, Inc. in a quality control role between 1998 and 2000. Education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in EHS Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology, earned between 1995 and 1998.
