Janel Dumbre

Janel Dumbre is an experienced educational professional currently serving as the Manager of Americas Scholarship at SABIC since January 2020. Prior to this role, Janel held positions at Rice University as an Academic Advisor and Interim OISS Staff Member from August to December 2019. Janel has also contributed significantly at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, first as the Associate Director of International Admissions & Advising from May 2014 to July 2019, and earlier as an International Student Advisor from October 2010 to May 2014. Prior experience includes serving as an International Student Advisor at Ferris State University from June 2007 to May 2010. Janel's educational qualifications include a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Old Dominion University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hanover College.
