Trace Holmes has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Trace started their career as a Currency Specialist at International Currency from 2003 to 2007. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Law Clerk at Bailey Peavy Bailey Cowan Heckaman, PLLC, where they conducted research and prepared legal cases.
In 2011, Trace joined Holland Services as a Landman, performing various roles such as Legal Counsel, Project Manager, and Business Development. Trace provided support to oil and gas exploration & production companies, assisting with leasehold acquisitions, title abstracting, due diligence, and land administration.
Trace then joined Range Resources in 2014 as a Senior Land/Lease Analyst. Trace managed the acquisition, development, maintenance, and divestiture of the company's land positions in East Texas and North Louisiana. Trace'sresponsibilities included analyzing and inputting various contracts into the land software system.
From 2017 to 2018, Trace worked as a Team Leader Land/Senior Landman at Oxy. Trace analyzed and reviewed agreements related to drilling wells and managed acquisition and divestiture projects. Trace also recommended process improvements.
In 2018, Trace took on the role of Land Manager at Osaka Gas USA and Manager, Business Development at Sabine Oil & Gas. Trace played a crucial role in the acquisition of Sabine Oil & Gas by Osaka Gas in 2018 and the subsequent integration of the two companies. Trace also provided legal knowledge and coordination of land issues in East and South Texas.
Currently, in 2022, Trace works as the Manager of Business Development - Acquisitions and Divestitures at Sabine Oil & Gas. Trace is responsible for managing and coordinating corporate legal matters, drafting legal agreements, and providing legal research and coordination on land issues related to drilling and operations in East and South Texas.
Trace Holmes completed their education in a chronological manner. Trace began their academic journey in 1999 and graduated in 2003 from Lamar University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Following this, they pursued further studies at the South Texas College of Law Houston from 2007 to 2010, earning a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree specializing in Law.
In addition to their formal education, Trace Holmes has also obtained several certifications. In 2011, they became an Attorney and Counselor at Law after being admitted to the State Bar of Texas. In 2014, they achieved the status of a Registered Professional Landman (RPL) through the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL). Trace Holmes further enhanced their professional qualifications by acquiring the Certified Professional Lease and Title Analyst (CPLTA) certification from the National Association of Lease and Title Analysts (NALTA) in 2015. Lastly, in 2022, they obtained the Certified Professional Landman (CPL) certification from the AAPL.
