Mingzhu Zhang has a diverse work experience in the field of pharmaceuticals and biosciences. Mingzhu started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Scripps Research Institute in 1995, where they worked until 1996. Mingzhu then joined Vanderbilt University as a Postdoctoral Fellow from 1996 to 1998. After that, they worked as a Staff Scientist at DuPont Pharmaceuticals from 2000 to 2002. Following this, Mingzhu joined Neurocrine Biosciences Inc in 2002, where they worked as a Scientist II until 2006. In 2007, they became a Director at Shanghai Medicilon Inc and held that position until 2009. Mingzhu then served as the Vice President of Business Development at Shanghai Medicilon Inc from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 onwards, they were appointed as the Executive Vice President and later as the President at SABPA, where they currently hold these positions.
Mingzhu Zhang obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from Wuhan University, where they studied from 1983 to 1987. Mingzhu then pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry from 1987 to 1995. Following their doctoral studies, Mingzhu Zhang completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Peptide Chemistry at the Scripps Research Institute from 1995 to 1996. Mingzhu further expanded their expertise by completing another postdoctoral stint in Nucleotide Chemistry at Vanderbilt University from 1996 to 1998.
