Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission
Buthainah Alwazir has extensive work experience in various organizations. Buthainah currently works as the Head/General Education Section at the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission, starting in July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Assistant at Diamond Properties, LLC from May 2004 to November 2005. Buthainah also served in different roles at the U.S. Embassy Riyadh, including Translator/Political Military Department from November 2001 to March 2003, and Cultural Assistant from November 1997 to November 2001. Their earliest work experience was as an Educational Assistant at AMIDEAST from November 1988 to September 1990.
Buthainah Alwazir has a strong educational background in the field of international studies and English literature. Buthainah obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Studies & English Literature from Jordan University, which they attended from 1976 to 1979. After that, they pursued further education and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Studies & English Literature from American University in the years 1979 to 1981. In 1983 to 1985, they enrolled in Quaid-i-Azam University, where they successfully completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Relations and Affairs.
Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission
The Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (SACM) to the United States is one of the specialized agencies created by the Saudi government in 1951 to administer programs and policies to meet the educational and cultural needs of Saudis studying in the United States. It also functions as the intermediary between U.S. educational institutions and the Kingdom in terms of issues pertaining to culture, education and science.
