Sacramento Area Council of Governments
Joshua Fontes is an experienced analyst currently serving as an Associate Analyst at the Sacramento Area Council of Governments since April 2024. Previous roles include Senior Analyst and Analyst at The Cadmus Group from January 2021 to March 2024, and Teaching Associate at San Jose State University from August 2018 to December 2020. Joshua also worked as an Instructional Student Assistant at Sonoma State University from August 2015 to May 2018, and gained experience as a Server at Bolt Staffing Service between April 2015 and August 2017. Additionally, Joshua completed a GIS Internship at the Laguna de Santa Rosa Foundation in early 2016. Joshua holds a Master of Science in Statistics from San Jose State University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Geography and Applied Statistics from Sonoma State University.
Sacramento Area Council of Governments
The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) is an association of local governments in the six-county Sacramento Region. Its members include the counties of El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba as well as 22 cities within these counties. SACOG provides transportation planning and funding for the region, and serves as a forum for the study and resolution of regional issues. In addition to preparing the region's long-range transportation plan, SACOG approves the distribution of affordable housing in the region and assists in planning for transit, bicycle networks, clean air and airport land uses.
