Sacramento Area Council of Governments
Mayxay Xiong is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Accountant at the Sacramento Area Council of Governments since July 2018, Mayxay's career includes prior positions as an Accountant and Accountant II at the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency from June 2013 to June 2018. Earlier in the career, Mayxay worked as an Operations Manager at the Hmong Women's Heritage Association from 2002 to 2011. Mayxay holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Business/Management from California State University-Sacramento and an Associate of Science in Biology from Sacramento City College.
Sacramento Area Council of Governments
The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) is an association of local governments in the six-county Sacramento Region. Its members include the counties of El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba as well as 22 cities within these counties. SACOG provides transportation planning and funding for the region, and serves as a forum for the study and resolution of regional issues. In addition to preparing the region's long-range transportation plan, SACOG approves the distribution of affordable housing in the region and assists in planning for transit, bicycle networks, clean air and airport land uses.
