Beth Seevers is an experienced Early Childhood Education Specialist at the Sacramento County Office of Education since January 2009, providing professional development support to Preschool Teachers and Family Child Care providers. Previously, as an Early Head Start Home Educator, Beth worked closely with low-income families in Sacramento County, emphasizing child development, family resources, and school readiness. In addition, Beth co-founded the Runnin' For Rhett Foundation, which supports after-school youth fitness programs and has grown to over 2,000 members since its establishment in memory of their son Rhett. Beth also held the position of Master Director for Salt City Candles from January 2003 to January 2018, where management of over 65 distributors in California was a key responsibility. Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from California State University-Sacramento, obtained from 1988 to 1992.

The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices of education in California. Approximately 650 regular and more than 950 temporary and substitute SCOE staff work year-round providing services which complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County. SCOE provides technical assistance, curriculum and instructional support, staff development, legal and financial advice, and oversight to Sacramento County school districts.
