Jenna Wainaina has extensive work experience in the retail industry. Jenna currently serves as the Director of Operations at Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. Prior to that, they worked at Raley's for three years as the District Operations Partner, where they provided support for operational clarity and consistency, data analysis, and business improvement. Before Raley's, Jenna worked at Walmart for almost two decades in various roles, including District Manager/Market Manager, Regional Operations Support Director, Divisional Learning and Development Manager, and Store Manager, Co-Manager, and Assistant Manager. Jenna has a strong track record of driving operational excellence, managing teams, and delivering sales and profit growth.
Jenna Wainaina obtained a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature and International Studies from the University of Oregon between 1994 and 1998. Jenna then pursued continuing education in Workforce Development and Training at California State University-Sacramento and obtained a certificate in Human Resources Management and Services from Loyola Marymount University in 2018. Additionally, in August 2018, they became a Certified John Maxwell Team Member through the John Maxwell Team.
