Kat O’Donnell has extensive experience in legal and administrative roles, particularly within the immigration sector. Currently serving as a DOJ Accredited Representative at Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services since May 2021, Kat manages a caseload of 20 to 30 cases, overseeing the entire case lifecycle from paperwork collection to approval. Previously, as an Immigration Legal Assistant, Kat contributed to various immigration processes and maintained up-to-date knowledge of immigration law, completing 100 CA MCLE Credits. Prior to the legal field, Kat held multiple positions at Paychex from 2005 to 2019, culminating in the role of Sales Administrative Supervisor, where responsibilities included hiring and mentoring staff and resolving commission-related issues. With a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix and a Paralegal Studies Certificate from American River College, Kat demonstrates a strong commitment to professional development and client support.

As the largest nonprofit provider of basic human needs in Sacramento County, Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS) supplies community members with food, diapers, utility assistance, immigration legal services and refugee resettlement services. All goods and services are provided at no cost to families in need. Run by a professional staff of about 90, SFBFS also relies on the incredible efforts of a volunteer force of over 12,000. Mission: Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services is dedicated to assisting those in need by alleviating their immediate pain and problems and moving them toward self-sufficiency and financial independence.
