Jeff Dorso enters his fourth season with the Kings, and currently serves as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel.
Dorso oversees all legal and real estate development related matters for the Sacramento Kings and its related companies, including the LEED Platinum Golden 1 Center, all real estate and media holdings, Sacramento Kings Guard (the NBA 2K eSports team), the Sacramento Kings Foundation, and the Stockton Kings (the NBA G League team).
Previous to coming in house with the Kings, Dorso co-founded and served as Managing Partner of Pioneer Law Group LLP, where he oversaw a complex development practice that included work nationally and internationally for clients, such as Airbnb, LiveNation, the San Jose Sharks, Sacramento Republic FC, CIM Group, the Sacramento Kings, and numerous prominent real estate development companies.
In 2013, the Sacramento Kings engaged Dorso to serve as outside counsel for the Kings in negotiating, structuring, and overseeing the entitlement, litigation, and development of the Golden 1 Center, the Downtown Commons (“DOCO”), the digital media assets, and other real estate holdings.
In addition to his professional practice, Dorso is also an active member of the art and non-profit community having served for multiple years on the board of directors for the Sacramento Ballet Company, the Sacramento Zoo, Miyamoto Global Disaster Relief, Solar Cookers International, and CLARA – the E. Claire Raley Studios for the Performing Arts.
Dorso graduated in 2001 with a juris doctorate from Tulane Law School, with a specialty certificate in Sports Law, and in 1998 received his bachelor of arts degree from UC Davis with majors in both History and Philosophy. He is an avid cyclist, runner, and outdoor enthusiast, and lives in downtown Sacramento with his wife and their French bulldog.
