Vinit Budhiraja

Vinit Budhiraja has extensive work experience in various positions. Vinit is currently the Director of Information Technology at the Sacramento Regional Transit District, a role they assumed in February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Manager of Enterprise Business Solutions at the same company from May 2019 to March 2023. Before joining the Sacramento Regional Transit District, Vinit worked as the Manager of Enterprise Resource & Databases at the company from October 2003 to March 2023.

Before their time at the Sacramento Regional Transit District, Vinit worked at Velocient Technologies Inc as a Senior Software Consultant from May 1999 to September 2001. In this role, they designed, developed, and implemented database-driven Enterprise Application Software Systems.

Prior to Velocient Technologies Inc, Vinit held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Eurolink Technology Limited from 1997 to 1998 and at USHA Inc from 1995 to 1997.

Early in their career, Vinit worked as a Software Engineer at Information Technology India Limited ITIL from October 1993 to December 1995. In this role, they worked on VB3/MSACCESS 2.0 and Windows for Workgroups. Vinit also developed AlphaBasic programs for Medical Billing to Medicare and Medical.

Vinit Budhiraja completed their B.TECH degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Technology, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, Vinit has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Vinit became a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in May 2022. Prior to that, they obtained the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2020. In January 2020, they received the Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. Vinit also became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through the Scrum Alliance in March 2018, and obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI in September 2005.
