Matthew Hanifin

Matthew Hanifin currently serves as the Executive Director of Advancement Services at Sacred Heart University, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, Matthew was the Director of Annual Campaigns at Nuvance Health from December 2021 to January 2024 and Deputy Director of Development at The Legal Aid Society from October 2016 to December 2021. Matthew also has experience as a Teaching Assistant at Fordham University during three terms between 2017 and 2018, and as an Executive Development Associate/Research Associate at Fordham University from March 2014 to October 2016. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Development Associate at the Legal Aid Society from May 2012 to February 2014. Matthew holds a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Leadership Management from Fordham University, earned between 2015 and 2016, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Fordham University, completed in 2011.
