Sajal Bhatia, PhD, is an accomplished academic and cybersecurity professional currently serving as Associate Professor and Cybersecurity Director at Sacred Heart University since August 2017. Previously, Bhatia held the position of Visiting Assistant Professor at Fordham University, where responsibilities included coordinating the MS Cybersecurity Program and lecturing on Computer Science and Cybersecurity topics. Bhatia's research focuses on Intrusion Detection Systems for Industrial Control Systems and the performance impact of security solutions in cyber-physical systems. Additional experience includes postdoctoral research at Vanderbilt University and a Research Associate role at Queensland University of Technology, along with earlier positions involving teaching and research in various facets of network security.
