Ugis Honavko is currently the Sales Director at SAF Tehnika JSC since September 2013. Prior to this, Ugis held the position of CEO at Northlight LED since July 2011. Ugis has a background in business and sales management, as well as experience in designing and engineering lighting devices. Ugis also has a history of holding management positions in various companies such as Prime Mail Ltd., Indigo Projekti Ltd., and LoguBuv agentura Ltd. Ugis graduated from Rīga Technical University in 2013.

SAF Tehnika AS is a Latvia-based telecommunication equipment company, a designer, producer and distributor of digital microwave data transmission equipment. Its products provide wireless backhaul solutions for digital voice and data transmission to mobile and fixed network operators and data service providers. The Company's offers three product lines: CFIP family with 366 megabits per second (Mbps) Lumina FODU (Gigabit Ethernet), 108 Mbps FODU (Fast Ethernet) and 366 Mbps PhoeniX Hybrid Split Mount System; CFQ family with high capacity radio equipment (SDH); and CFM family with low to medium capacity radio equipment (PDH). The Company exports its products to 99 countries worldwide, in Europe, the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America, South America and Africa. As of June 30, 2011, SAF Tehnika AS held a 10% stake in LEO Petijumu centrs SIA. As of April 30, 2011, Mr. Didzis Liepkalns held a 17.05% stake in SAF Tehnika AS.
