Geoffrey Munga

Geoffrey Munga is an experienced professional in cyber security, currently serving as Senior Manager Cyber Security at Safaricom since May 2007, where responsibilities include defining and implementing the cyber security strategy and managing functional technology risks. Munga has previously held positions as IT Security Manager and Senior Security Administrator at Safaricom, focusing on security vulnerability assessments, risk mitigation, and policy implementation. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Network & Security Engineer at Sidian Bank, where a key achievement was the migration of the bank’s core banking system. Munga began a career as an Information Technology Solutions Architect at Dimension Data East Africa, implementing various security and networking solutions for multiple financial institutions. Munga holds a Master of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
