Francesca De Gasparis

Francesca de Gasparis is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in organizational development, strategic planning, and advocacy in the environmental and social sectors. As the Executive Director of SAFCEI since February 2017, Francesca has significantly expanded the organization's budget and staff, while enhancing regional programs and overseeing overall operations. Prior to this role, Francesca served as an Independent Consultant, providing expert guidance in climate change and community advocacy. Francesca's past positions include leadership roles at the International Campaign to Stop Rape & Gender Violence in Conflict, The Green Belt Movement, and various organizations focused on environmental issues and project management. Francesca holds a Master's degree in Environment and Community from Antioch University Seattle and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Zoology and Genetics from the University of the Witwatersrand.
