Malisa DiGiacomo has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly focused on ending violence and abuse through their work at The SAFE Alliance since 2000. Initially serving as Director of Grants and Grants Manager, Malisa currently holds the position of Special Projects Assistant. The SAFE Alliance, formed from the merger of Austin Children’s Shelter and SafePlace, emphasizes comprehensive survivor services and preventive initiatives. Prior to this, Malisa worked as a Research Specialist for the Coachella Valley Housing Coalition and as a Development Associate for the Inter-University Program for Latino Research. Malisa's educational background includes a Master's degree in Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in English/Political Science from The University of Tampa, where Malisa graduated with honors.
