Danny Stewart

Danny Stewart has a diverse work experience in the social work field. Danny started in 1994 at GMHC, where they worked as a Clinical Case Manager/Supervisor and Assistant Coordinator of Mental Health Services. In 2000, they joined Hetrick-Martin Institute as an Assistant Director of Clinical Services. Danny then moved on to Safe Horizon, where they held various roles including Director of HIV & AIDS Services, Director of Operations, and Director of Operations & Finance. Currently, they are an Adjunct Instructor at Hunter College, teaching a foundation social work course. Throughout their career, Danny has gained experience in grant management, financial forecasting, program development, and clinical supervision.

Danny Stewart has a education history that includes a Certification in Seminar in Social Work Field Instruction from Hunter College in 2006, a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a focus on Group Work from Hunter College from 1996 to 1999, a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Family Psychology from Hardin-Simmons University from 1988 to 1992, a Bachelor of Behavioral Science degree in Psychology from Hardin-Simmons University from 1986 to 1988, and some education in Psychology from Wayland Baptist University from 1984 to 1986. Danny Stewart also has additional certifications, including a Seminar In Field Instruction (SIFI) from Hunter College obtained in 2006 and a Licensed Master Social Worker certification from the New York State Education Department obtained in 1999.
