Alessio Lomuscio

Alessio Lomuscio is the Founder and CEO of Safe Intelligence, a position held since May 2022. Concurrently, Alessio serves as a Professor of Safe Artificial Intelligence at Imperial College London, where responsibilities include research and teaching, as well as leading the Verification of Autonomous Systems Lab. Notable roles also include holding the Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Emerging Technologies and the EPSRC Leadership Fellowship focused on Trusted Autonomous Systems. Previous positions have spanned various prestigious institutions, including Deputy Director at the UK Centre for Doctoral Training in Safe and Trusted AI, Scientific Advisor at Five AI, and Lecturer roles at King's College London and UCL. Alessio's academic journey began with a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham and a Laurea in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
