Marilena Amoni

Director at Safe Kids Worldwide

Marilena Amoni is the current Director at Safe Kids Worldwide. Marilena has over 20 years of experience working in the field of traffic safety. Marilena began their career as a Retired, NHTSA with the US DOT in 2008. In this role, they oversaw collection and analysis of traffic and motor vehicle data, State traffic records programs, National Driver Register, regulatory analysis and evaluation. Marilena then transitioned to the Mothers Against Drunk Driving organization in 2012 as a National Program Steering Committee member. In this role, they were responsible for program consultation and guidance on future programs to reduce impaired driving. In 2013, they became a Trustee with the FIA Foundation, an independent UK registered charity which supports an international program of activities promoting road safety, the environment and sustainable mobility, as well as funding motor sport safety research. Marilena also serves on the US Advisory Board for the FIAF Foundation and the Vision Zero for Youth Advisory Committee.

Marilena Amoni has a Bachelor's degree in Management and Urban Affairs from the University at Buffalo, as well as a Master's degree in Public Administration from the same school.
