Mary McGuire

Mary McGuire has a extensive background in various roles within the nonprofit and communications sectors. Mary is currently the Chief Impact Officer at Safe Place for Youth, a position they have held since August 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director of Village for Vets from September 2021 to January 2023, and as the Director of Programs and Operations from February 2019 to September 2021. Mary has also worked as a Strategic Consultant for GLAAD, an Advisor for Countable, and as a Fundraising Consultant for World of Children. Mary has experience as the Director of Development for The Writers Guild Foundation and as a Senior Program Manager and Communications Director for Freedom House. Mary McGuire earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from Fordham University, where they studied from 1988 to 1992. After a break in their education, they pursued a Master's degree (MA) in International Organizations from Dublin City University, attending from 2007 to 2008.
