Yanzhao Yang

Yanzhao Yang has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 2018, they worked as a Mechanical Team Member for the University of Alberta EcoCar Team. Following this, in the same year, they joined Imperial Oil as a Reliability Engineer. In 2019, they had two positions - as a Visiting Researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research and as Project Head & Systems Engineering Lead at Albertaloop. From 2020 to 2023, Yanzhao worked at Siemens, starting as a Mechanical Engineer and progressing to the roles of Test Engineer and then Lead Test Engineer. Currently, they are employed as a Lead QA Engineer at SafeAI, Inc.

Yanzhao Yang completed their education at the University of Alberta from 2016 to 2021, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Co-op option. Furthermore, in May 2020, they completed the "Introduction to Business Principles Program" offered by the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. Lastly, they obtained the certification for CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) from the Alberta Construction Safety Association, although the exact month and year of completion are not specified. Additionally, in March 2023, they obtained the certification for "Advanced Learning Algorithms" from DeepLearning.AI.
