VP of Security Research at SafeBreach

Tomer Bar has a extensive and diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Tomer has worked for various companies and organizations, contributing their expertise and leadership skills.

Starting in 2003, Tomer worked at the Prime Ministers Office, where they held multiple roles such as Cyber Security Group Leader in the Cyber Division and National Cyber Security Authority. Tomer managed different teams, including an anti-malware group, and was responsible for preventing cyber-attacks on Israel's critical infrastructures and classified information.

In 2014, Tomer joined Palo Alto Networks - Cyvera as the XDR - Malware Research Group Lead, where they focused on malware research and led the group. Tomer stayed with the company until 2019.

Most recently, Tomer joined SafeBreach in 2019, starting as a Research Team Manager. Here, they presented their research on the topic "A Decade After Stuxnet: Printing is Still the Stairway to Heaven" at various conferences like BlackHat USA, DEFCON, and Sector Canada. Tomer then advanced to the role of Director of Security Research before becoming the VP of Security Research, which they currently hold.

Tomer Bar obtained a Bachelor of Computer Software Engineering (B.A) degree in Computer Science from Tel Aviv-Yaffo academic college between 2001 and 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree (M.B.A) with a specialization in Business Management - Information Systems at bar ilan university from 2003 to 2005.
