Matthew Rood, P.E. has comprehensive work experience in various roles related to engineering, particularly in structural and civil engineering. Matthew started their career as a Civil Engineering Summer Intern at Mead & Hunt in 2003 and 2004. In 2005, they worked as a Civil Engineering Summer Intern at IIW, P.C. Matthew then worked as a Structural Designer at Rice Engineering, Inc. in 2006 before joining Dairyland Power Cooperative as a Substation Designer from 2006 to 2008. Matthew then served as the General Manager at Boulder Stove & Flooring from 2008 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015, Matthew worked as the Residential Structural Group Leader at Quality Engineering, LLC. Matthew then joined Ramaker & Associates, Inc. as a Structural Engineer from 2015 to 2017. In 2018, they were a Plans Examiner at Larimer County before transitioning to their current role as a Structural Review Engineer at SAFEbuilt. Throughout their career, Matthew Rood has amassed a diverse set of skills and experiences in the field of engineering.

Matthew Rood, P.E. graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural and Geotechnical Emphasis. Matthew has obtained multiple Professional Engineer (PE) certifications from various states, including New York, Georgia, Texas, Florida, South Carolina, Maryland, North Carolina, Washington, Utah, Colorado, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. The most recent certification was obtained in October 2020 from the State of New York.
