Rachel Truant serves as the Director of Philanthropy at Safehaven since October 2023. Previously, Rachel held the position of Director of Resource Development at Abiona Centre from June 2018 to October 2023, where Rachel led fundraising and communication strategies and excelled in securing major gifts while mentoring team members. Rachel's extensive experience also includes roles at the Geneva Centre for Autism, where Rachel progressed through positions from Development Officer to Senior Development Officer and Development Manager, focusing on sponsor and donor management, grant writing, and fundraising efforts. Rachel began a career in fundraising with the Canadian Cancer Society and the United Way of Oakville, where early achievements included significant fundraising events and improved campaign outcomes. Rachel's academic background includes studies at Trent University and Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
