Javier González Morillo

Javier González Morillo is a Project Engineer at SafeKick since January 2023, with previous experience as a Drilling & Completion Engineer at Repsol from September 2013 to November 2021. In the role at Repsol, Javier supported planning and engineering design for Venezuelan assets with a focus on well integrity while providing remote engineering support for projects in Russia, Algeria, and Colombia. Javier also worked as a secondee on the Cardon IV project for the Perla Field Development and served as a Trainee Engineer, completing advanced training in oil and gas at Repsol and studying Petroleum Engineering at Heriot-Watt University. Early career experience includes an internship at PDVSA Petróleos de Venezuela S.A., during which Javier developed a thesis on extra heavy crude production and served as an Assistant Instructor in mechanics at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, a Master in Oil and Gas Exploration and Production from Repsol, and a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Universidad Central de Venezuela.
