Fred Sonnier

Safety Management Systems welcomes Frederick Sonnier to the team as the company’s first physician assistant. Sonnier will assist SMS Medical Director Dr. Brent Hebert in overseeing operations for disaster management and pandemic relief, coordinating testing and care for employees to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. He will also work with SMS’ remote paramedics in decision making regarding the healthcare of the clients and their workforce.

Sonnier has been a PA in Acadiana for 21 years, and proudly served 11 years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He is a graduate of Vermilion Catholic High School, University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) and Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport.
