Steve Kappel

Steve Kappel has extensive experience in information technology and application development, currently serving as Chief Information Officer at Safety National since April 2014. Steve's previous roles at Safety National include Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, Assistant Vice President - Applications & Databases, and Director of Application Development. Prior to this, Steve worked at the Missouri Botanical Garden as a Biodiversity Informatics/Software Architect, leading the application development group and collaborating with scientists and department heads. Steve's tenure at CPI Corp. lasted from May 1999 to June 2013, where responsibilities included overseeing a team of developers as Vice President of Application Development and serving as Director of Enterprise Architecture & Web Development. Steve holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from Saint Louis University, earned between 1997 and 2001.
