Richard Damon

Richard Damon is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as the Chief Electrical Engineer at Safran Defense & Space, Inc. since May 2024, Richard has undergone a company reorganization. Prior to this role, Richard held positions at Optics 1 from February 2007 to December 2024, where responsibilities included serving as the Chief Electrical Engineer and Principal Electrical Engineer, focusing on electrical design. Richard's background includes a significant tenure at Beltronics, Inc. from May 1983 to November 2005, where Richard was the Chief Architect and Designer for high-speed optical inspection machines. Richard began their career as an Electrical Engineer at IMEC inc from May 1982 to May 1983. Educationally, Richard earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1978-1982) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University (1974-1978).
