Kate Philipps

EVP of Group Communications at Safran

Kate Philipps is the Executive Vice President of Group Communications at Safran. Prior to joining Safran, Kate was the Executive Vice President Communications at Faurecia from October 2012 to May 2021, where they were responsible for leading the company's transformation through a comprehensive strategic communications programme, including cultural change, technology acceleration and digital enterprise. Kate was also a member of the Executive Committee at Faurecia.

Before joining Faurecia, Kate was the Vice-President Communications at ESSILOR International from November 2010 to July 2012. During their time at ESSILOR, Kate was responsible for creating the corporate communications function and developing the message platform.

From October 2001 to November 2010, Kate served as Communications Director at Valeo. In this role, they were responsible for Valeo's global communications function, including all press relations, internal communications, corporate communications (annual report, advertising, web, sponsorship etc) and customer events and trade shows.

Prior to joining Valeo, Kate served as Communications Director at Schlumberger from October 1998 to September 2001. Before that, they were Communications Director Europe at Case New Holland from January 1993 to December 1999.

Kate Philipps has a Master of Science in Neuroscience from King's College London, an MBA in Business Administration and Management from INSEAD, and a MA in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Oxford.

They are on a team with Stéphane Dubois - EVP, HR, Éric Dalbiès - EVP, Research & Technology and Innovation, and Karine Stamens - EVP Corporate Secretary, Chairman of the Ethics and Compliance Committee. Their manager is Olivier Andries, Chief Executive Officer.
