Kyle Schmidt

Kyle Schmidt is an accomplished landing gear engineer and innovator, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Research & Technology at Safran Landing Systems, where they oversee all research and technology activities. Previously, Kyle held several leadership roles at Messier-Dowty and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty, where they managed engineering teams and led significant projects, including the successful flight testing of landing gear systems. Kyle earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and furthered their education with a Master of Science in Safety and Accident Investigation from Cranfield University, along with a management development program from Safran University.
