Mark Poyner

Mark Poyner, Ph.D. has held a range of roles in the field of battery engineering and research. Mark began as a Lab Technician at the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality in 2009 before advancing to a Research Assistant/Lab Technician at the University of Oklahoma in 2011. Mark then took on roles at the University of Tulsa, serving as a Graduate Research Assistant and a member of the University-Industrial Research Team from 2011 to 2017. Poyner then moved to Frontier Electronic Systems as a Technologist/Battery Engineer from 2016 to 2017. Currently, they are employed at Saft, where they have held positions as a Sr. Cell Engineer and now a Principal Cell Engineer since 2017.

Mark Poyner, Ph.D., earned their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma in 2010. Mark later went on to receive their Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Chemistry from The University of Tulsa in 2016.
