Irina Marincas

Irina Marincas is an experienced engineering leader in the battery systems field, currently serving as the Head of Battery System Engineering at Saft since November 2021, where management includes a global team of approximately 150 professionals focused on Li-ion and Ni-Cd battery systems for railway and mobility applications. Previously, Marincas held various key positions in Groupe Renault, including Battery Development Team Manager and HEV Battery Project Leader, and led multicultural teams in the development of electric vehicle batteries. With educational credentials including a Master's degree in Transport and Sustainable Development from École nationale des ponts et chaussées and an Engineer's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Marincas combines significant technical expertise with strong leadership in the battery technology sector.
